Hoover WindTunnel 2 Bagless Upright Vacuum

This is the 3 rd Hoover Wind Tunnel that I have purchased. While the suction and the accessories are excellent, the big problem with this make is the on/ off switch. In both of my previous Hoover Wind Tunnels the on/off switch packed it in around the two year mark which made the vacuum unusable and straight into the dumpster. Given the fact that the warranty on these vacuums is only one year and the switches expire around the two year mark go figure The only reason I purchased a 3rd Hoover Wind Tunnel was the fact it was 45% off or $129.99 on Boxing Day otherwise I would have never paid full price for this model!

Vacuum is excellent and I highly recommend buyers to buy this product.

I bought this vacuum to replace a Bissell canister. Assembly was challenging - the handle is in two parts and has to be inserted into the base and then screwed together. The first one I bought was defective and the screw did not align with the bolt. I had to exchange the first one for a replacement (Canadian Tire had no problem with the exchange). The second one assembled well. Build quality is OK. It looks like the seal between the hose and the canister isn’t perfect. This doesn’t affect use but makes you question the quality. I think that the suction is strong enough that you don’t get dust leaking out. Cord does not retract. Upright design does make storage easy. As a vacuum it works well. The power head seems to get more dust/dirt out of my flat carpet than the non-power head Bissel that I used to have. It’s easy to move between hard floor and carpet, adjustment dial works well. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is very loud. The Hoover falls short when trying to vacuum under things like beds and furniture. The upright build and size of the head and canister mean that it’s impossible to use it under things. There is an attachment tube that you can use to reach more difficult places. However, the tube is so short that it becomes a gymnastic activity to reach far enough under a bed to vacuum. The attachment head is small, more useful for doing furniture. The vacuum is limited for use on carpeted stairs as well. It’s workable with the power head but the vacuum is heavy and awkward. There is a handle on the top so you’re essentially using that to position the vacuum and move it from step to step. A good vacuum with serious design limitations.

When you detach the hose from the vacuum, to dust, the hose is just not long enough to reach whatever to vacuum. The suction of the turbo vacuum is fabulous! ♥️

It’s a good product. Bought a month ago and enjoying it. A bit loud - wish it was quiet but it’s ok.
