Poor quality motor head

Battery seemed alright but the brush head lasted only a little over a year with moderate use before the brush would not spin and there was a loud rattling noise. I managed to get warranty to replace the brush head but 8 months later the new motor head is not working. Dave your money and buy a different vacuum.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Don’t buy this vacuum

I bought this vacuum last year, everything was going great until today. As I was vacuuming today, I noticed that it wasn’t doing its job properly, so I thought “oh ok maybe I have to clean the little piece that turns, and as I looked, I saw that the tube was that connects the vacuum to the detachable piece was completely broken.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Balai défectueux

Après un ans le balai ces mis à chauffer sur le roulement côté moteur ce qui a fait fondre le plastique et la rendu inutilisable vraiment pas fiable au prix que sa coûte

Don't buy

I have had this vacuum just over a year and the power head quit working and the motor has a burning smell. I tried to register the product and it doesn't recognize it. I tried calling Hoover and no answer. I would rate it one star but it will not let me 2 stars is as low as it will let me rate it.

Great start... soon faded

Purchased this unit April 2022. Initially I was happy enough with it. It cleaned well and seemed powerful enough. Battery life was definitely considerably longer than my previous cordless stick vacuum. The immediate cons were the reservoir filled very quickly and was awkward to empty, and the unit is very top heavy which often resulted in the vacuum lifting off the ground surface while sweeping it back and forth. I've now had it for just over one year, my place is very small and it gets light use... and out of nowhere the carpet brush has stopped working, it will no longer spin and if I try to use it the machine simply turns itself off. I'm very disappointed, a vacuum at this price point should have more life in it than one year.

Q: We have a shag throw rug in the living room and it seems to stop the power head from working, sometimes even shuts the vacuum off. Is it a defect or is that normal? Do I need a different vacuum?

A: I think that's normal. Mine does the same. It's just not powerful enough to keep turning the brush against a lot of resistance. Works fine on very low pile rugs, and better on bare floor.

A: The filter is a plastic container that needs to be cleaner. Do know the battery doesn’t last long, we recommend buying a longer lasting one or buy two. To save energy use the econo mode, but if you have a carpet you will need the carpet setting which uses the battery faster. But overall we are very satisfied

Q: Which battery comes with the OnePower (on sale at Canadian Tire)? Is it the 3.0ah battery? The reason I ask is because there seem to be some reviews that are quite critical of the stick vacs' ability to clean carpets and very short running time.
