Hillman hex nuts are used to keep materials together that are fastened with bolts. Hex nuts are commonly used when joining wood to wood, wood to metal and metal to metal. Zinc-coated steel hex nuts, like these class 8 metric nuts, provide corrosion resistance for most general use applications.
