Its utility cord, whats to say?

I bought this to have around for camping in case I had to string a tarp out allot further because of a lack of tree's near by. It works perfectly, cuts easily and don't fray after being cut. Its also way thicker and heavier duty than anything I really need for this purpose. But for $10 and not standing out with a bright colour it works for me. The holder/wrapper plastic holder that comes with it found its way to the recyclers after the first use as it wasn't worth keeping around.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: heavy gauge? is this supposed to be comparable to mil spec 550 cord or paracord?

A: The 550 paracord is thinner than the 76-3024 otherwise than that, it is similar.
