Simple design.

Nice sleek, simple design. Like the auto shutoff as soon as it is done brewing. Doesn’t keep the coffee any hotter than in the glass carafe but at least there is no ‘burnt’ coffee taste when you pour it from the thermal carafe 20 or so minutes later.

Q: Is there a warming plate under the carafe which preheats the carafe on this model?

A: No. I have made coffee the evening before, and the next morning it was still warm. I have also found if hot water was rinsed into carafe before making coffee it stays all the long warmer.
