Q: Would this clean the back of the intake valves? I have a GDI engine in my 2013 Sonata .Some say the back of the intake valves are prone to carbon build-up in GDI engines and that any additive that you pour into the gas tank will not clean the back of the intake valves. Thanks
10 years agoA: The customer has a gasoline direct injection engine (GDI). Buildup on valves is a common problem and they are correct in asserting that a gas tank fuel additive will not clean the valves. An intake cleaner must be used. The aerosol product will help clean valves, but an purpose-built complete cleanup system is preferable.
