Q: Purchased golf green potting soil and it is growing mushrooms or toadstools. Trying to start onion seeds indoors not mushrooms. What gives?

A: Little mushrooms are a good sign of soil health. You will want to buy a sterilized soil if you want to be sure no mushrooms will grow. You can try watering less, otherwise you are going to have the same 'problem' with most soils.

Q: Is there a way to find out if the ratio of ingredients? I want to buy it to use in a terrarium animal habitat, but a low peat moss component is preferable. Is there an email for the manufacturer?
