    EASY TO SPREAD EVENLY

I just spread it around my front lawn today. Assuming it's good lime, I'm looking forward to seeing a less acidic lawn in Spring 2026. Easy to use. Not as fine or powdery as other lime products, however I do like this better because more goes on the lawn rather than fly off in the wind. I will buy it again in the future.

Use dolomitic lime due to spruce trees in lawn. It helps to reduce the acidity in the soil so Grass grows.

Q: Is this pilled dolomite? That means, is it powdered dolomite that is finely ground then formed into small pellets (prills) that break back down into powder when wet? The bag label is useless.

    • A: Bobby, yes the limestone has been ground down into small pellets - then breaks down when wet. I put this on my lawn (and gardens) at least twice a year when I fertilize. This works fine in my roller spreader - same goes for the fertilizer. I do spring and summer - have one of the best looking lawns in the neigbourhood !

Q: Do you water after application

    • A: I used it on a half acre to prepare the soil for radishes. Irigation was not available. It takes time for the lime to be absorbed into the soil. I believe watering expedite this.
