    J'ai 2 powermax 1500 pour des petites portes de 5 pi de large vraiment légères servant au garage de moto. Je déconseille les moteurs génie ça fait 2 fois que je change les modules électronique et encore ce jour jen au un qui a lâché. Ils ne servent que quelques mois en été pour les motos. VRAIMENT DE LA SCRAP ET SERVICE NUL DE LA CIE.

    Stop working all together after 3 years

    Paid good money for this and stopped working suddenly. We had a 25 years plus mastercraft door opener that was more reliable then this. Of course I don’t have the bill for warranty!!

    One of the Genie PowerMax 1500 had been strange since installed, the light sensor was not functioning that was fine, but the opener sometime not working until unplugged for days then worked again, but now is gone completely. The circuit board replacement is costed almost as same as to get a new opener. Should check the reviews before buying Genie!

    En tant que propriétaire de cet ouvre-porte depuis 2012... Je puis dire qu'il est très robuste et fiable. Au fil des années, il est arrivé à plusieurs reprises d'oublier d'enlever du matériel tel que des balais, pelles, etc... le long des rails de porte. Il apert que cet ouvre-porte à un système qui détecte les anomalies et s'est avéré très utile pour empêcher le moteur de forcer inutilement contre des trucs que j'ai oublié tel que mentionné plus haut. Au final, il ne m'a pas déçu depuis toutes ces années et il sert 4-5 fois par semaine.

    I purchased a Genie to replace a Chamberlain that tends to open randomly. Easy to install, quiet (it is important to me as the garage is below the living-room, and the chain driver opener was very noisy). However, like many, the remote control stopped working after one year, beyond repair (I repair electronic for hobby and I have all the tooling to check and measure signals). So far, the motor is still working.

    • A: Do you mean a single double sized door? I have a heavy wood single door but all doors should be balanced so they are not heavy to open or hard to close. Deep penetrating lube on the coild above the door and the joints can do wonders. Works fine for single door!

    Q: C'est quoi la longueur total du rail et le moteur une fois installé? J'ai 9'6" ,(114 pouces ) de dégagement au plafond entre le mur de la porte et mon accès au grenier. Je veux savoir si c'est assez pour mettre ce modèle d'ouvre-porte?

    • A: Le vendeur ne pense pas que ceci est compatible pour vous. La distance de montage de la porte au milieu est de 114 pouces. La moitié arrière ajouterait encore 6 à 8 pouces, donc la longueur totale du système serait de 120 pouces ou un peu plus.
