I love this lock. No motor to bog down if the lock is tight

I bought this a year ago. I love this compared to the power type which uses a motor to drive the mechanism open and closed. Programming is fairly easy if you follow the instructions (duh). It has been very reliable. Having multiple codes is great.

Bought this deadbolt and it will unlock and lock without code. Called tech support and we tried different things and told me to return it

Q: Lock does not function anymore. When i type in my code, I here a small sound and even though i turn the cylinder, nothing engages and door stays locked. Same thing to lock. I press the lock button and the knob never engages to lock the door. solution ?

Q: Being in Southern Ontario, do we need to use a screen door for protection from the cold and ice in the middle of winter? I have three exit doors without screen doors and wondering if these locks will withstand the elements.

A: The default operating temperature we set is -20°C ~ 70°C. We would suggest to install screen door for protection from the cold and ice in the middle of winter. If there is no screen door, the inside mechanism of grease might be frozen from time to time, but user can run the lock for few times to defreeze the mechanism. Once the process is done, then the lock would functional as usual.
