Great little AC
I bought this in 2014. I did keep my living room cooler during BC’s heat dome and again last summer. Because we are expecting hotter temps I have bought another unit. I am passing this on to a friend because it still works like a charm.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Not a dehumidifier.
I bought this a couple years ago. I live in a very humid area in a basement suite. I set it for dehumidify for 36 hours and it took a total of 125mL out.
The air conditioner works fine.
Fan is super loud.

Very loud when operating. 71db when condenser cycling.

Bought 3 years ago. Bottom half must be constantly vacuumed so I taped dust filters on intakes and that cut down on dust. *Note, if condenser gets covered with dust the unit will only blow room temperature air.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Won’t stop leaking water after its turned on
6 years ago
I bought this unit a couple of years ago and ever since I installed it this summer it won’t stop leaking water every time I turned it on. I emptied it every time before starting it up and when it is running for a hour there is water on the floor. So I had to switch back to window air conditioner again to keep cool.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is the unit self evaporating or does it have a resevoir tank

A: Hello, First off, thank you for inquiring about our products. The unit is equipped with a built in evaporator. When running the unit in air conditioning mode, the evaporator will be able to eliminate a good portion of the water produced so long as the humidity level in the room you are trying to cool is controlled around 50%. If the unit is only used once in a while in high heat/humidity periods, the built in evaporator will be able to eliminate a good portion of the water produced however the water container may still fill up gradually until the humidity level is properly controlled. I hope this answers your question. Take care

Q: Would you not be able to put the hose meant to go outside a window in a bathtub?

A: this unit must be vented outside if you are using it in air conditioning mode. The exhaust is very hot/humid air .

Q: How much power does the 9000 BTU unit use?
I'm trying to figure out how much the 9000 BTU unit will increase my monthly power bill. There are AC power calculators online but they require wattage, voltage etc. and I can only see that it requires 10 amps in the manual.

A: When the A/C starts, it may consume 10Amp instantly, then when opperates normally, I think the intensity should not be greater than 4Amp.
A: The exhaust flexible hose is 10 feet long and we can not extent this to keep a minimum off efficiency to cool down the room where the a/c is installed.
