A product will be deemed to be out of service and its useful life to be ended if no updates have been downloaded for such product for a period of 24 months or more. Unless otherwise stated, the updates you receive under the subscription will be updates to the same geographic area included with your Garmin product when originally purchased.

  • In some instances, your Garmin product might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the map data, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your updates, or (b) purchase separately a microSD™/SD™ card (if and as applicable to your Garmin product) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your updates to the card and insert the card into the microSD/SD card slot contained in your Garmin product. If neither of the measures in (a) or (b) can be used to address your product’s lack of sufficient remaining memory, then Garmin may conclude that the “useful life” of your product has expired.

  • Garmin may terminate your nüMaps Lifetime or other lifetime map subscription at any time if you violate any of the terms of this agreement or your subscription. Your nüMaps Lifetime subscription or other lifetime map subscription may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product.

  • This product carries a special warranty. Please see your local Canadian Tire store for details.

    bought this out of necessity and it was on sale. Got lost on my way to a golf course so I stopped in at the first Canadian Tire store I could find. Had a TomTom that got stolen and would have got another if on sale. This unit found the satellites immediately which my TomTom did not. Like the bright screen and all info is easily visible, the voice is clearer. Only complaint is that it does not warn you when approaching red light cameras which the TomTom does, an important feature for me. Overall very pleased

    J'aime bien mon nouveau GPS. Lors des sorties, il divise l'écran en deux pour nous montrer visuellement à quoi ressemblera la sortie et quelle voie prendre. Plusieurs options intéressantes.

    Q: Does this show side routes as well or only main routes? Need extra alternative routes if traffic on main arteries.

    • A: The nuvi 54LM does have a detour feature, in the event you do need to take a different route than the one provided. This feature will automatically find the next best route, based on your device settings. If you do take an alternate road (without using the detour button), the nuvi will automatically recalculate your route based on the road on which you are driving. Please note, the nuvi 54 LM does not provide traffic information.
