Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions

Q: How many cubic feet does each bag cover please? There is a square foot coverage listed but with no depth indicated the square feet serve no purpose. Thank you.

  • A: These bags aren’t large - maybe one cubic foot.  It’s a terrible product which doesn’t resemble any composted manure I’ve ever bought befor.

  • A: I am not an expert but remember that it is a combination of sheep manure and peat moss.Your son will little slivers from the moss and I don't know if they have mixed anything in with the manure. I hope this is helpful.

  • A: Ce produit est destiné à être utilisé comme amendement du sol, de façon similaire à l'utilisation du compost. Il est préférable de le mélanger à des sols existants ou nouveaux pour fournir un engrais naturel.

Q: Has this product been treated with herbicides or come from a place that uses them? Every plant I have used this on is now showing herbicide damage.

  • A: I can't answer that particular question, but found this brand to be less manure and more filler. I'm also questioning the "composted" claim -- doesn't look like composted manure should look. Maybe that is why your plants are damaged -- uncomposted manure is too strong for plants.

Q: The package says sheep manure + peat moss. What is the percentage of sheep manure?

1 Answer
  • A: It’s more like wood chips with a little bit of sheep manure thrown in but not composted. Terrible product.

Q: Can this produce be used for overseeding my lawn? can this be used for topdressing my lawn?

1 Answer
  • A: It is recommended to mix it with soil for new lawns. Spread 15 kg per 7.5 m2 (80 sq. ft.) and mix into the top 15 cm(6 in.) of soil. Rake level and spread grass seed or lay sod. Because it is recommended to mix it with soil for new lawns, It would be advisable to mix it with soil when over seeding as well. For top dressing an established lawn it is recommended Spread 15 kg per 15 m2 (160 sq. ft.), at no more than 1 cm(½ in.) deep. Rake level and water well
