Great Net

They bill this as a backyard net, but, it seems as good as almost any regulation net I've ever used... at a fraction of the price. It's nice & light too. Goes together and comes apart very quickly. The "bungy" style elastics used to attach the mesh go on and come off quickly. The mesh is a very good weight... it's not going to break easily no matter how hard you shoot... using lacrosse balls. If only the poles could break down less than 6'... then it would be more portable... and coaches everywhere would be buying them #esp. if it could fit into a carry-bag or something of that nature.#

Q: How durable is the mesh? Is the mesh like those thin street-hockey nets, or will it stand-up to actual lacrosse balls?

A: I bought one of these (hard to find though) and the mesh is good. Easily stands up to lacrosse balls. You can be comfortable that it will stand up to good hard shots with lacrosse balls. Not the flimsy cheap street-hockey nets. If you leave it outside forever, like any net, the mesh will likely deteriorate, but it's good quality.
