Works good but the ice is solid

Hi, I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It is working fine. No issues with operation. Problem is the ice. They are nice big blocks but all of the pieces are attached to a solid block of ice. It forces you to break it about by hand or pick all up, through it in a baggie and hot is like a bag of ice from a store. So a three it is.

The ice comes out in a sheet that is hard to really hard to break up. I do not like this ice maker.

Good ice production

I bought this a week ago and already have tons of ice in the freezer. However, it’s a very noisy machine. If you put it in the kitchen that’s close to your room, you might want to turn it off at night.

Glad I waited to buy the 40lb instead of 26lb

This is my second unit I had be looking at my first unit for about a year, before pulling the trigger! I wanted something to make ice while at TTITD, and this unit passed with fly colors! It supplied about half of our requirement for ice! I should also mention that its energy efficiency enabled it to be run off a Solar Generator being charged with Solar so that made the experience even better! It holds a lot of water and when the ice bin gets full it shuts off and as soon as someone removed a bit of ice it started making more! If I recall, I think it made 3-4 bins of ice before running out of water so I didn't even have to check water level that often! Looking forward to the same results with this second unit and being self sufficient, ice wise! Definitely a 5 out of 5!
