FRAM Tough Guard® oil filters are designed for tough driving conditions, stop and go traffic, and hot and cold temperatures. The synthetic blend media is engineered to perform with premium conventional and semi-synthetic motor oil. Equipped with SureGrip® technology, FRAM Tough Guard oil filters provide a non-slip surface allowing for easy install and removal. The silicone anti-drain back valve ensures safe engine startups, extending the life of the oil filter for up to 24,000 kilometers.

Fram Tough Guard Filter with Cellulose and Synthetic Media gives ChemLab-Like Particle Results

The Tough Guard Fram oil filter combines cellulose with a synthetic (sintered glass)filter material giving chemistry lab-like particle filtering (honestly, I used sintered glass filters in University chemistry lab.) The oil has to be forced through the synthetic material filter or it will not drain through. Of course all automotive oil filters are forced oil but without synthetic filtering media they would also probably just drain through the cellulose. Truly the next level of protection at a budget price.

I've used fram products for years and never had any problems with them at all. just put this new filter on yesterday doing my oil change on my car. they seem to filter well and last quite a long time if u go over the date u should have changed your oil.
