Small fireplace makes room look big; creates true illusion of comfort and warmth

This is a well designed and well built all-steel body traditional-looking stove-type fireplace, with optional heater at two levels. When on the lower level of heating, my living room temperature rose 2 degrees Celcius in less than an hour. The heat doesn't blast at you; it's subtle and simply fills the room evenly, almost imperceptibly. Most of the time I just leave the heat options off and enjoy the glowing log and flames. That is the most economical way to use the stove/space heater. There is a small amount of light from the bulb inside the "log" that escapes through little openings in the case or shell, but by putting a bit of aluminum foil in just the right spot, I was able to block the light from shining outside the unit's shell. There are too many good things about this fireplace to hold that against the manufacturer, although I think they should correct that simple problem, so I am docking one star in the rating. The glowing log and flames look even better than some of the more expensive fireplaces out there! I am fussy about an electric fireplace looking realistic, and have warmly accepted this one.

Plastic legs and handle and hardware that didn't match the instructions

Not the quality of the similar one I purchased 10 years ago. Plastic legs, plastic handle and hardware supplied didn't fit where the instructions state it should go. Especially on the handle.

Sorry I have to finally replace it

I bought this unit 5 years ago and just this week the fire quit and there is not a hum and the heat isn’t as warm. I use it in my basement bedroom as it is very cold downstairs even in the summer. Guess it’s time to buy another one.

Says it heats up to 1000sqft. Definitely not. No option to turn the flame light off. Have to have low and high heat switches on to get any real warmth.
