Seems to be pink coloured during the day and doesn’t light at all during the night. Has a cat scowl, which is ok for this cat owner. Had rust started already when first bought.

Q: I purchased two of these solar cats for a friend and they never worked. Is there a trick to turning them on?

A: Yes, there is a trick. My wife had to go back to the store and it took a few workers to figure it out. There is a plastic pin to be broken off and removed on the on/off switch. Then it works like a regular switch.

Q: I bought this cat but can’t figure out how to remove the “try me” wire. It says to unscrew the bottom but there are no screws. How do I get to the on/off button? I’m going to have to return this if I can’t even turn it on! Thanks!

A: Flip it over and you’ll see a little metal tab, bend it back and you can flip the centre solar piece over. There’s a rubber plug in the on/off switch, pull it on and push it to on. Then bend the metal tab back in place and you’re good.
