they do the job

just wish they were a little softer as they were very hard to get into the hole in the table , we soaked them in hot water to soften them and the put a pot of hot water on top to level them out

Did it’s job

Bought this for my patio table. They were a bit to big to fit the hole in my table. After cutting up one of them I got it to work.

Hard to find this item in store because packages are small and nearby items are large, so ask staff for help. The black grommet fits a 2-inch diameter glass table hole, but needs a heat gun to soften the plastic to make it sufficiently pliable to coerce into the hole (with the assistance of a large screwdriver to push, and strong fingernails to pull). 4 stars instead of 5 because it was rather difficult to insert, but I was pleased with the final results in two glass tables. The clear plastic hole protector is for a 2.25-inch diameter hole in glass up to 3/16-inch thick -- it has 3 curved "legs" to fit under the glass. I would have preferred the clear plastic but my table holes are 2 inches across. The clear plastic it seems fairly stiff and likely also needs a heat gun to make it sufficiently pliable to insert. Both sizes come with matching center plugs to fill hole when umbrella isn't in place.
