Bought this 2 yrs ago and only used it for about 6 months each year and now not working, last one I had lasted 15 years, warranty says 1 yr what a joke ,very disappointed in this product, canadian tire should be backing up their products

His product did a great job removing a musty smell from basement, but it says holds 30 pints, it doesnt even come close to that, i waited till it shut off and was full, measured the amount of water in back, holds 8 pints. Not sure where they get that number, and dont see an address to write the company, only phone number. Product #043-0748-0 For Living 30 pint dehumidifier.

Q: I purchased the For Living 30 pint Dehumidifier, #043-0748-0, my basement smelled musty, within a few days it was getting better. My question is it is advertised it holds 30 pints of water, i measured it holds 8 pints, so im confused. Anyone else?

A: I understood the 30 pints to be the amount of water it can remove in a day not the amount it can hold. I use the hose hookup and have it drain into my sump-pump pit.

Q: The "For Livine 30 pint ENERGY STAR Dehumidifier" appears to be the same as the "Danby" branded DDR30B1WDB. Are these the same machines? CTC does not provide links to online manuals, but the Danby branded manuals are easy to find.

A: I bought this model last year (it works great by the way!) and I just compared the manuals between the Danby and the For Living. As far as I can tell, they are the exact same models. The manuals aren't identical, but the the layout of the buttons are the same and the functionality of the buttons are also identical. The icons and names for the buttons are different, but it seems like you could rely on the Danby's manual to operate the For Living model.

Q: Can I pay on credit card above mention Dehumidifier and a person can pick at Cornwall store? I need to know, if water hose can be connected to drain direct to sump pump whole?

A: The water hose inner diameter is Ø 5/16” with a female threaded end inner diameter 1”. If the sump pump is compatible you can try to connect these two.
