Assembled it... I weigh 170 lb... wood split and I scrapped my arms and hurt my back (a little) as soon as I sat gently into the chair. Caveat emptor. Thank goodness I bought it from Canadian Tire > money refunded.

Easy to assemble, Sturdy, take a coat of paint well and look great. Folding is key feature for off-season storage. Would definitely but them again.

Chair is made in China. This is a very poorly made mixed wood chair with defects filled with body filler. Very disappointed in this item purchased as a birthday gift for my son.

Don't buy this!

I bought this last year, it wasn't even a month old and my son sat in it (he is not 200 lbs.) and it instantly split! Definitely do not buy this stay away!

Q: Are repair parts available? The swing arm from the base of the back to the seat has split and broken on two of our chairs and a third is starting to go. I do not want to throw these chairs out when I could replace this small (6 inch long) part.

A: I find that these pieces tend to stick on our chairs. However, these are likely the most easy pieces to fabricate and replace. Just cut some "good" wood the right size and drill 2 holes in each pice at the right spacing. Obviously these pieces are subject to a lot of stress so get some really good wood, even if it is a different species.

A: The Adirondack Chair is already factory sanded for a smooth finish. You may simply apply a stain or paint on it as is.
