    Nous avons acheté l’article au debut de l’été. Nous avons une piscine démontable Bestway donc supposé être compatible. À ce jour, en y passant des heures chaque semaine, les connections coulent toujours. De plus, le niveau de chlore produit était toujours trop bas même en ajustant les heures de fonctionnement selon la température et l’utilisation de la piscine. J’ai contacté sans succès les numéros de téléphone et courriel de Bestway inscrits sur tous les documents reçus avec la mention « Ne pas renvoyer au magasin ». Malheureusement, les bureaux sont toujours fermés même si j’appelle durant leurs heures d’ouverture, la réponse du courriel est de contacter le numéro de téléphone et il est impossible de compléter une demande de réclamation sur leur site web puisqu’il ne reconnais jamais ni le numéro d’article, ni le numéro de série. Finalement, aujourd’hui, 4 mois après l’achat, le chlorinateur s’est éteint et n’allume plus. Je n’ai pas sauvé de temps, ni d’argent. Je ne recommande donc pas

    We bought ours two months ago and didn’t think about looking it all over until it was time to hook it up. Today I opened the box and the adapters are not in the box. Nice! And the unit is discontinued. Kind of hard to set up our pool this way.

    Ran great for the first 2 seasons

    This was to be the third season for this unit. I've only run it for 3 months max each year and the unit has always been stored indoors during the cold months. Unit running is out of the rain and direct sunlight. Till now the unit has worked without issue. Started getting the dreaded low salt warnings and as before cleaned the plates of the cell. Unit still won't work and I found that the seals around the electrical connections into the cell had failed and I had corrosion on the contacts as salt water had been leaking into the connectors. A bad situation made worse as when I went to purchase a replacement cell from the vendor I was advised that replacement parts are not available at any price. I'm scratching my head wondering why even list parts with part numbers in the instructions when the vendor who made the unit and printed the instructions does not provide the replacement parts. Same make and model is still available for sale so it's not like it's discontinued. Canadian Tire has many terms and conditions placed on it's suppliers in order for their products to be represented on their shelves. One of those conditions should be that the vendor provide reasonable after sale parts and service. Unit does come with a 1 year warranty but any failures after that period means you throw out the unit and buy another. I don't expect the units to last forever but to have the unit fail after 7 months total use with no recourse but to purchase another is unacceptable.

    Q: PLEASE HELP!!! Using this chlorinator and have a green pool. We spoke with so many people that said they used this exact chlorinator for their inground 16x32 pool. We keep getting a "low salt" code and keep adding salt but it keeps beeping. Now we have a green pool. Any suggestions on what we are doing wrong?

    • A: This chlorinator is not intended for inground pools and your pool is way too big for this machine, I have a 24' above ground pool and it works great.

    Q: Do you still need the filter pump? I am seriously thinking of buying this product because I hated working with the chemicals last summer. Do you use the pump supplied with the pool (with the paper filter) and this chlorinator together? Thanks!

    • A: Have to pump the water somehow and this is not a pump, just a chlorinator...so the answer is yes ...you need the pump supplied with the pool

    Q: My system keeps flashing the 90 warning which means that my water flow is low. I have tried everything I know to fix the problem. What should I do?

    • A: We had the same problem and the only way we could fix it was by "crazy gluing" the flow. If you unscrew the top you will see a small piece that regulates the flow...put a little glue on it and glue it up. By doing this you will bypass the "flow" issue!! Worked for us and have had no problems since. My brother had the same issue and the company gave him this trick.

    Q: Why does the attachment not fit if it works for all above ground pools? I have a perm above ground pool. the attachment that comes with the chlorinator which attaches the hose from the chlorinator to the pool filter is to small & not the standard 1 &1/2". Does anyone have any ideas?

    • A: The manufacturer does sell them for about $12.99 US on their website, but they charge about $75 in duty to cross the border. Does anyone know where in Canada these adapters are available?

    • A: Le sel ne s'évapore pas. La seule façon de perdre du sel, c'est la perte d'eau en effectuant des backwash ou l'accumulation de pluie tout simplement. Normalement, un seul ajout de sel par été est nécessaire point. 1 poche ou moins... Je me réfère à ma 18'.

    Q: Where do you buy 75 kgs of salt one guys said he used 75 kgs of salt I am assuming that you would just pour that all into the pool. Where do you buy that amount of table salt. That's a lot of little boxes from the grocery store.

    • A: Not sure of replacement hoses, but I rigged mine up to connect to standard pool hoses. Check out the plumbing aisle at hardware store, I found the rubber connectors (with reducer, once size fits chlorinator, other side fits inside hoses) used with standard clamp on the hose end works great.

    • A: Ai eu même problème. Recherche sur web indique que c'est signe que cellule faiblit (détermine salinité par le courant entre le plaques, mais présume un courant adéquat...). Lorsque cellule s'affaiblit indique Low Salt peu importe le vrai niveau. Doit remplacer unité. Mais avant, vérifiez que source courant est adéquate.

    • A: Je l'utilise depuis plus de 4 ans avec une 21 pieds sans problème et je pense que 24 pieds est ok quoiqu'un peu juste! Avec ma 21', je peux obtenir des niveaux de chlore assez élevés après12h de fonctionnement et c'est pourquoi je maintiens que c'est ok pour une 24'.
