broke on first use

july 3rd 2019, i used these loppers for the first time yesturday and it broke. i hit a steel wire that i didn't see, it made a pretty big roll in the blade but that's my fault, they are not made for cutting anything else than wood. other than that, the ratchet system isn't perfect. it doesn't always work in order to make cutting easier. but when it works, it works great... until the blade shatters in half

Good overall product

The by-pass shears seem to work better, but the ratchet on these give them lots of power to cut off tree limbs. These are made by fiskars and they make only excellent products.

Good Pruner

This pruner works well on both green and smaller dead branches. Green branches under 1" cut without engaging the ratchet mechanism.

Awesome lopper

Just bought these and used them to remove some dead branches from my evergreen tree. The branches were about 2.25" in diameter and this thing still cut through it like a hot knife in butter. The ratchet design delivers some serious force and it makes cutting through branches an ease. I highly recommend this product.

This thing is serious!

These are definitely the most powerful lobbers I've ever used! Forget branches... these things go through small tree trunks! The movement is buttery smooth, and the ratchet system imparts some serious cutting force. Definitely can't go wrong with these.
