    Not worth buying

Very disappointed with this purchase. We completed the test and sent off as instructed and within the time suggested. We just got a reply advising they could not complete as the US company did not get the package in time. So it cost us an additional $15 US and First class postage for nothing. They are suggesting we buy another test and resubmit….no thanks!

    Bigger end cost

$39 with tax + $15 lab fee. + shipping to Welland ontario UPS cost $39. Ontario ships to a lab in USA to get test results. Ihad to ship by Air as it a time sensitive test. as canada post is unreliable. So. $39 for the test + $15. For lab fees + $39. Shipping cost = $83.00. Dont be fooled by the $32. Call a local inspector..

Should not be sold in Canada

I'm not sure why this is sold at Canadian Tire; surely there are other options available that don't require shipment and USD cash payment to Texas. Shipping cost me about $70 to get it to the lab within the short time period allowed, and I also needed to pull out US currency to include in the envelope as there is no way for Canadian customers to pay online for the lab fee. Disappointed to see this in our Canadian stores. I wish I had done more research before purchasing

    Avoid at all costs

Bought at CT. Did the test, within parameters, and mailed it in the next day. Received a letter in the mail indicating that they required CC payment. Called and paid. Immediately received an email stating that ”We were unable to complete analysis on the radon test kit you submitted to us recently because the test kit took too long to arrive in our lab. After long periods of time, the radon present in the test kit has decayed to the point where it can no longer be accurately measured. Test kits should arrive in our lab within 10 days of the end of the test. After 10 days, we cannot guarantee a valid test result. Please see below for next steps.” Buyer beware. The person I spoke to in Carrollton, TX likely knew this and accepted payment anyway. Poor customer service. Canadian Tire, time to find a Canadian company. Very unprofessional.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Expired Kit

I ordered one of these kits and found 2 things. 1. The kit expired in 2022. 2. You have to sent it to a Lab in US and you must be US resident.

    • A: I heard of radon levels being high in some basements. So with having a bedroom down stairs and spending a lot of time in our basement. I thought for the peace of mind I would do it. Very easy to do.
