Good height to keep out curious puppies!

Someone bought these for us but out puppy was getting through the gaps. I folded it over so there are no gaps for my dog to get into the plants. Works well that way!

These black metal edge fencing are the most convenient item to have in the yard. We have some for over 20 years that we've been using for tall plants like Cone flowers, Black eyed Susan's and Peonies. The fencing contains them well in the pouring rain and you are left with plants that haven't been damaged. It looks beautiful and compliments your garden. The price is very reasonable also and I was surprise they still were selling them after all these years.

Q: Is this strong enough to deter dogs from my front yard next to the sidewalk?

A: That would depend on how much deterrence is required. A determined large dog could push it over, bend it or uproot it. A determined small dog could slip through the gaps. A dog casually passing by would probably continue to pass by. I suggest you look at it in person to decide in your context

A: The one I bought in summer 2020 was the ‘For Living’ brand. I assume they still carry the same one.

Q: Looking at purchasing Finial Metal Edge, 32-in x 8-ft #059-2211-8. Can I attach the bent wire hook part of one piece to the middle wire with the finial on top of the next piece to avoid the space? Yes I will need twice the pieces. Can this be done?

Q: Does the gate by the same company connect if so is there anything else you need to put it together?

A: No that gate (0590233) does not fit fence, (0592211). That gate works with fence, (0590333) and needs pole, (0590341) to attach it to the fence.

Q: What is the installed height of this fence? Is it 32" or is that the height of the entire unit (including the spikes that go in the ground)?

A: This is 32” H total. When installed, you could insert the legs another 6” to 8” and the above ground height will come in at more like 24” – 26” H.
