quick way to filter water

We have been using this filter for about a year and think it is great. The Brita jug is quite large so children or seniors may have a hard time lifting it. I really appreciate the large capacity and the fast filter. You do need to follow the instructions to run water through the filter on first use. One time we did have a filter that was slow and I may not have run the water through on setup. Tip I put the time to change my filter as a recurring Google calendar item and get a reminder. I do it quarterly for the size of my family. So now I am ordering 4 for 2015.

Annoying water filter

These water filters are annoying to fill. The water does flow through faster, but it doesn't seem to hold as much and the filter's surface area is just asking for junk to accumulate. I don't like it at all.
