Q: Can I replace all of the oil pan gaskets in a home garage, with out removing the engine?

1 Answer

A: It depends on the car, but on many vehicles the oil pan can be removed (and re-gasketed) without moving the engine at all. Some vehicles that I have worked on require some air deflectors to be removed first, though. You will most likely need a jack and stands, or ramps, depending on the vehicles ground clearance.
