Bought one of these for my 99 Mustang as the old one was squealing. It's been on the car 2 years and still working great.

Purchased this about 10 months ago for my Buick Rendezvous..Now at oil change time was told the belt is cracked (which it is, I saw it) and needs replacing. In 10 months only 12000 kms placed on engine. Belt drive route is true and there are no damaged pulleys. Mechanic said maybe it had sat on a shelf for too long, and was dried out. Very disappointing,

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How much it will cost me to buy the belt and to replace it into my car?

    • A: if it's more then $100 total, the person doing the labour is overbooking their allotted time on your vehicle. It takes 5 minutes to replace a serpentine accessory belt. If you have a 3/4" or relatively good socket set or wrench that you can put some torque on you can change it out yourself. I'm not sure if CT starts the clock when the tech walks out to drive your vehicle into the shop, but it can take up to half hour by the time the paperwork is printed. Under the hood there's a sticker on nearly all North American vehicles about belt routing, generally with, and without A/C. It's relatively straight forward and can save you $30+ changing it out yourself. Be sure to hold onto the old belt as a spare if its still in moderate shape.
