Lid is heavier than the original RackSack, has bags and more plastic in it, doesn’t want to stay up as easily as previous product did, and needed to move the mounting over from the 3L (3L is discontinued). Works fine just needed to pay more attention when flipping up the lid to stay open.

Q: What are dimensions of rack itself? under the sink door i have only 8 1/2" clearance to abs pipe will it fit?

A: The lid is 13.5"x8". The garbage is not 5" as its smallest dimension as a CanTire employee answered. Height-wise , it's 10" min for the receptacle. Extra clearance to open the lid (you could use it without the lid if you choose, and opening the door usually allows extra room) and have the bottom bag support add on depending on how tall you want it. The box does have the right dimensions listed, but the product information on this website conflicts with that information. CanTire misses dimensions for a lot of its products and I use different websites to compensate. It seems this product may come in 2 size versions for different rooms (?) notwithstanding the wrong size information given here at CanTire (love CanTire btw).

A: They only carry the small bags, the large ones (21L) are discontinued at this store, you have to buy bags elsewhere !

Q: How much weight? Screws were a little too long so could not screw in fully, else they would go right through! if garbage gets too heavy, or if somebody squishes garbage down, could this ruin cupboard door, possibly ripping screws out or putting ridge in door?

A: The package and instructions WARN about the thickness of the door. My doors are 5/8 inch medium density fibre board which was perfect for installing.

A: Je pense que le problème peut être que votre cabinet n'est pas assez grand pour loger l'unité 21L. L'autre scénario peut être que vous n'avez pas ajouté l'extension à l'unité, qui maintient / supporte le fond du sac de 21L. Cette extension est incluse avec l'unité de rack, mais n'est pas absolument nécessaire. En n’ajoutant pas l’extension, cela vous permet d’ajuster correctement l’unité de rack dans vos armoires.
