Piece of JUNK

Bought this on sale. My experience with great deals has not been good. Could not adjust the saw. Cannot cut a 45° angle no matter how much I adjust I only get 43°. It's adjusted to the max. It's only for chop saw use, nothing more. Be wary when you see a really great deal in a well known box store, they have a realy bad habit of selling 2nds to unsuspecting customers. Both companies are at fault here, and mine for trusting that this was a great deal.

Great product but mine was defective out of the box

Purchased this and immediately put it to use after assembling and reading the manual. Followed all the instructions and tried cutting some 1" angle iron. The blade cuts through like butter however the issue I had with mine was that the arbor didn't hold the blade straight. It would wobble back and forth during cuts and would "walk" when cutting on an angle. This wasn't a misaligned blade issue it was the actual rotating head that rotated off-center. I contacted Evolution and they offered to repair it but it would have to be shipped to the USA and go into quarantine for a week on either side of the repair (this was all during the first COVID lockdown in Canada).
I ended up returning it to Canadian Tire and buying the traditional metal chop saw instead.

amazing product and price

I bought this product a month ago and started using it recently I have use it for decking and also for making bar tables and also wood around the hot tub at home, I works perfectly and love the other features it comes with the machine! easy to use and easy to assemble took me 15 minutes to assemble I love this product!

I bought this to cut steel and worked good for a week and then the blade was done for... I recommend buying the blade for it that is especially made for steel, since the all purpose one wears out so fast.

Did what I needed it to do.

Bought this saw on clearance. Did not have a lot of faith in the metal cutting, but the price was right. I had to adjust it as it was off square but the instructions on adjusting everything were great. I have used it now for about 3 weeks and have cut up to 1/8 mild steel with no problems, clean cuts, weld ready. cuts are nowhere as hot as when cut with a chop saw. I then cut a bunch of wood for another project. Perfect cuts. It was a great buy for me.

Q: this or dedicated wood miter i am a diy homeowner and can't decide between dedicated wood or this multi saw, i mainly do stud/wood but would like the posibility to cut metal. how the low rpm affect wood cutting? can this saw accept CT maximun 10" 60T wood dedicated blade?

A: This saw works very well for cutting wood - very smooth cuts. The low RPM doesn't seem to affect the ability to cut wood (maybe you can't go quite as fast through a piece, but I can't really say). The mitre adjustment isn't nearly as refined as a top shelf brand, but probably similar to Mastercraft, etc.

A: Yes you can cut paver with a diamond blade no problem...Make your cuts outside and if you can put a fan sideways to push away the dust if there is no Wind...

Q: Does blade (included with purchase) work for finer cuts? I noticed it changes on video to "Rage 3" blade when they show cleaner wood cuts. I need it for cutting pine - clean cuts no ripping evidence.

Q: Does it do a nice on crown moldings and can I use it on mosaic tile that has glass metal and ceramic

A: The saw would be adequate for cutting crown molding with the supplied blade. However, it would not be recommended to cut Mosaic with glass with the supplied blade. A high-quality diamond blade would be required for the Mosaic with glass cutting.
