Beau... mais très fragile!

Ce haut-vent est très fragile. Il faut faire très attention lorsque nous plantons les clous pour l'ancrer au sol. Les pattes en aluminium casse facilement. L'autre problème, est lorsqu'il y a un vent modéré. La toile ne reste pas tendu ce qui fait qu'il à tendance à se tordre et même faire le parachute. Non réglable en hauteur, ce qui aurait été bien pour éviter le problème avec le vent modéré.
Pour terminier, ca fait la job comme on dit mais il y a mieux pour le même prix.

Not worth the trouble

They look good, but that's about it. First, they're a pain to set up. Spread the frame, put the poles together, add the canopy material. Second, while they do keep the sun and rain off you, they won't stand up to wind. The way the poles are designed, if the wind gets under them they can parachute right up, and then you're in a desperate scramble to hold a corner and either pull it down in the middle or detach all the velcro so the canopy can be pulled down separately.
There are far better designs on the market.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Comme disent les autres, une soudure était déja brisé dans le sac, j'ai eu de la difficultée a ouvrir une des patte, la toile n'est pas imperméable mais ca on peu toujours mettre de l'imperméabilisant dessus. Pour le prix, c'est une bonne abris pour avoir de l'ombre. et aussi super facile a montée.

Solid Purchase for the Money

My family is at sporting events every weekend and feel that the purchase of the shade shelter essential. The shade shelter is easy to assemble and stores easily back into it's storage bag. It has held up in mild winds, and has provided sun shade for our family of five. We wouldn't want to go back to weekends without it. We even took it to the beach. Well worth the money.

Why it's called a Shade Shelter

I bought this with the hopes that it would be a good rain shelter (despite the name saying shade). Unfortunately, it leaks through all of the seams -- it would have been better if they had simply taped the seams. I'm going to seal it with a sealer product to see if that helps. Set-up was fast but requires at least 2 people.

Q: replacement parts? is it possible to buy replacement parts for this? one of the plastic pieces that clips the top on snapped and I'd rather not replace the whole shelter for that

Q: How much do these weigh? Don't see it on the specs and we are trying to decide if we should get the bigger one for camping... just depends on the weight difference for us as we have ALOT of gear ;)

Q: Poles sold separately as well? We managed to break three of the poles while in winter storage, and would like to purchase just the pole set. The top ripped as well, but we were able to patch and sew it. It just seems a shame to throw it out for the sake of the poles.

A: Mine too, except I had three smaller tears, about 8" long each. I simply patched them with a blue iron-on patch, then sewed the edges for extra strength. You can hardly tell it's been patched, and it seems to be strong enough.
