The enamel mug is great for both soup and coffee. These enamel dishes remind me of my camping days when I was a child , and I had to purchase a complete set. This mug is large and makes cool camping mornings cozy

Really big mug!

I use 4 of these in my car camping kit, and they've been very useful for about 4 years. They're quite big - they hold about double the amount of the regular enamel coffee mugs. Plus, the handle doesn't get very hot at all even if you've got hot liquid in this mug for half an hour or more. The rim also stays quite cool, so you don't wind up burning your lips. We use ours as a substitute for regular soup bowls as well as for coffee - they're big enough to hold a few ladles full of stew as well.

A: You are better off using an aluminium or stainless steel cup. The enamel is not made to cook with - only to serve with.
