Didn’t work right out of the bix

When I initially installed the toilet the cartridge wouldn’t stop leaking- so the toilet wouldn’t stop running. I had to go back to the store where I purchased the toilet to get a new cartridge. Since this was under warranty (I’d only bought the toilet an hour previously) I didn’t have to pay for the replacement cartridge. So far no other problems, flushes well.

Good value.

Well built unit. Flushes amazingly well with minimum water. Packaging was good. Seal that was included could have been better if it was a flange type. Overall good value.

Great color

The color of this toilet was named “white.“ As it turns out, the color looks more like the bone or ivory color of the past - which is great, because it matches our old sink and tub almost perfectly. We expected it to be chalk white and stand out like a sore thumb, but it does not. It is almost a perfect match for the existing fixtures. What a serendipity! Way to go, American Standard. Many thanks.

Good product and very little maintenance

We are on a septic system and this is the toilet which is well suited for that function. it’s comfortable and has a good cleaning system. I noticed it has a dual flush , top tank , but I do prefer the handle flush. All in all it is a good purchase and we are happy with the product.

Good, But Could Be Better

This is my 2nd American Standard toilet. The first was a 4.8L built very well. I was so impressed with that and needed one for our 2nd bathroom, I figured I'd go with AS again. However, this one doesn't seem to have the quality as the first smaller one I bought. The 6L handle is very flimsy, and part of the fill valve was scraping the interior tank liner. I didn't notice until later, but after a few flushes it scraped a groove into the liner. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. For what I paid, compared to other brands, I expected more. I really like the soft close lid feature. Design and finish is very nice.
