This fan has been a game changer for me. I used to struggle with hot feet at night, but since buying it, that’s no longer an issue. The remote control is a great bonus—I can easily adjust the settings or switch it on and off without getting out of bed. It’s also very quiet, so it doesn’t disturb my fiancé’s sleep at all.

The fan turns on in the middle of the night. It’s too unpredictable and unreliable. Aside from the airflow being weak.

Q: I would like to know it's 35 degrees celsius outside with humidex of 40, if my 2 bd small unit has all window close and extremely hot inside will this cool my unit down thanks.

  • A: It's a fan, not a cooling unit. It circulates air, doesn't cool it. Useful for one room only not a whole apartment.

Q: Can anyone vouch for this fan who used it through the heat wave last year?  How effective this would be on the west coast where it got quite unbearably hot last year. The cost is almost as much as an A/C unit which is why I'm asking

  • A: Hi Dawna, this is David with Dyson. In this case, it's worth noting that Dyson Cool™ Programmable Oscillating Tower Fans will not be an AC unit, and instead will operate as a blade less fan. While an AC unit is designed to chill the air, the Dyson Cool™ tower fan will not directly change the air temperature. Instead, it's the air flow which it is designed to cool you with a smooth and powerful wind, or breeze like effect. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the unit, which is adjusted with the remote control. Also, when used in conjunction with an air conditioner, Dyson fans may be used to circulate cold air further and faster throughout your room. Best wishes, David Dyson Customer Support
