work great for the price

I bought these to save money, and they have worked great for me. Equally good in ice and snow, and not loud on dry pavement either.

Quiet for a winter tire
Tread pattern is obviously good. Not as aggressive as others ie. Old Goodyear Nordic I've replaced. Also noticably quieter. I may use year round on an older car. So far so good in light snow is this here parts.

Better than OEM
I got this for KIA sedan and have been driving it throughout summer. Initially I was planning to swap it back to all season but I notice it handles so much better in the rain and quieter in summer than my OEM. It might be inferior than a more expensive snow tires, but it could be a really good substitute for all weather tires considering the low price ($85). So far I have driven it for 10K with no issue and the thread is still really good, it might be last for at least another 40K km.

A: These tires have been out for a few years so most reviewers would wait a year or 2 before putting out a review.

A: I used mine for a 2005 Pontiac Vibe which is an exact replica of a Matrix except for the outer body. Check the numbers on your present tires and match those numbers. Also posted on a sticker inside the drivers door

Q: Can I use/bring my own rims and Canadian Tire install for me?
3 Answers
A: You could, I did. And I would never do it again. Just buy the tires, and take them to a dealership or tire shop for the install.
Save yourself the aggravation. Scratched all 4 rims and tape weights on the inside, rather than bang-on weights. Didn't even clean the rim so the tape weights would stick.

Q: deciding to get this. I'm on a budget, these are on clearance. Dynamo doesn't have a max KM wear warranty. Speed rating looks good. Tread looks like it'll be good in wet/rain at least. Anyone use these year-round and have feedback on the wear? Thanks.

A: They’re great in the snow! Felt safe on them. I didn’t have a set of summers and left these on for 30,000kms. When They have more tread they’re great in the rain and dry. Winter just rolled back around, they’re not bald but they have such a hard time gripping the road with 2cm of snow down. I liked the quality so much I went back last week and got a new set.

Q: Why is this tire not classified as All Weather given that it is rated both M+S and 3PMSF?
2 Answers
A: All-season tires may offer some traction in light snow and an occasional winter storm; their design, however, is not aimed to handle deep snow, ice, and cold weather (below ~40º C). The colder the weather, the harder the tire rubber becomes depending on its compound; winter or snow tires are designed and formulated for prolonged winter conditions, including snow, ice, and slush.
