A: The Ultimate Trim to Fit Hammock air filter is indeed an electrostatically charged media. In the specification under Filter System, this a default setting to indicate it is a flat filter opposed to pleated that includes non-electrostatic verbiage. I will address your concern with the retailer to have it changed in their system.

A: The Ultimate Electrostatic Hammock filter would significantly reduce airflow if used as an air vent filter. We would not recommend it for this application.

Q: Ultimate Duststop Air Filter- Would this product perhaps be washable, as it appears that it may be. If so, would this affect the electrostatic property of this item? And as well, how would this washing take place- hand wash in sink, or washing machine etc.?

A: This filter has not been designed or tested as a washable filter. If you do try to wash and reuse I would recommend completely drying the product before reinstalling in the furnace. I would also recommend watching it closely after it is installed to make sure it is working.
