Buttons are close

Used the rubber buttons in to replace the worn ones in my remote. Decent enough fit, not perfect but close enough for horse shoes.

Will not work for 2000 JImmy

This will not work with the electronics from my original fob. There is a plastic bit in the way of the battery.

A: It does work, but the battery and the chip that was inside my old one did not fit. It would not close and the battery was the different sit. Was some kind of plastic that was holding it out for not closing. But I couldn't close it. There was extra plastic that shouldn't have been there.

Q: Will this work on a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo?

A: Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, assuming your 2003 Monte Carlo's current key fob has the same buttons (& in the same location) as this replacement unit it will work. Keep in mind this Dorman FOB is simply just the case. You will need to transfer the circuit board from your existing unit into this new one.

A: Hi, you will need SKU: 0245652 for you Impala. Since these are just replacement cases, you are just taking the existing insides of the remote, so no reprogramming needed. Thanks

A: Unfortunately, we do not have a replacement clamshell-only for the application provided. However, our universal replacement key fob (024-5555) will work for this vehicle.

A: Unfortunately, we do not have a clamshell that will work with the existing FOB internals for this application. We do, however, have a universal programmable key fob (024-5555) for this vehicle, though it does require specialized tools in order to program it to the vehicle.
