    Hard to use

I've used this several times for my MKIV Jetta's rear brakes and it's always taken a lot of effort to turn the piston into the caliper. It also slips quite often, and I need to use an extension on my ratchet. I've used needle-nose pliers before, so this tool is a bit better.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Not for 2010 Caravan

I just tried to use the tool on the rear piston of my 2010 Dodge Grand. Caravan.... Does not fit, to small. Looks like it would be a good tool for other vehicles though.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This tool was completely useless, and the quality was garbage. I usually never have an issue with CT tools however, this one (for me) failed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Worked like a charm for my 2005 Kia Spectra Rear brake pistons. Threw it on my 3/8 ratchet, opened the brake fluid cap and the pistons retracted easily.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

May not be the right tool for the job.

Tried this tool but it did not have an adapter for my 2001 VW Golf's rear brakes. Not a problem, I returned it for a complete refund. An alternative is the Disk Brake Caliper Piston Tool kit which can be borrowed from the Canadian Tire parts counter ask for product number 93-2566. This part number is only for the loaner kit. The deposit is fully refundable when the kit is returned. For more information or to purchase the same kit search for product number 25-6146 online.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: VW Tool 3272 Is disc brake tool #25-3278-4 a suitable substitute for VW tool 3272 used to push and twist the rear brake caliper piston on Golf 2003 model?

    • A: I can say that it worked for my MKIV Jetta, so it should work for your Golf. It's "suitable", but NOT ideal...useable is a better word.

Q: is this the proper tool for a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4L I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4l with 17" alloy rims. I would like to know if this is the right tool for the Rear Caliper Assembly.

    1 Answer
    • A: The manufacturer does not have a record of the Pontiac Vibe so cannot determine. However, there are configurations on each side of the tool that are clearly marked. You would need to look at the ‘Indentations’ markings on the actual caliper piston and see if they match with the tool markings.

Q: Will this work to bottom the piston on the rear calipers of a 2008 dodge grand caravan?

    • A: Yes this tool should work for this procedure. You will need a 3/8” Dr. ratchet and an extension to complete the task.
