Cheap handle breaks easily

Crank handle is poorly designed, and broke a few months after purchase. Replacement part is not available, so the entire tripod is worthless now.

No, I do not recommend this product.

manivelle fragile, elle est cassée et même pas capable d'avoir cette simple pièce en remplacement.. Je vais opter pour un autre marque et sac beaucoup trop petit, difficulté à fermer le zipper.

Breaks easily

I’m sure it works decently enough for DIY jobs but as someone who uses it daily for work the quality just isnt there. I’ve been through 3 in the past 12 months. Gears break, handle breaks, O ring at the bottom falls off. It also barely fits in the bag it comes with. I love the Dewalt laser that I use it with but will need to find another option to mount it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this and had it in its carry bag and the tilt adjustment knob broke off from the weight of the tripod. The tripod is very light, but the adjustment arm was plastic and thin. I am very disappointed in Dewalt. This will definitely play a factor in buying any more of their products in the future.

Mounting pad doesn't quite fit the laser

The removable mounting pad that came with mine does not match the one pictured here. Rather than being rectangular, it is square, and the back two corners of the pad interfere with the non-removable feet on my DW08802 laser, so you cannot completely screw the 1/4" post into the bottom of the laser and have it sit flat. The only way to do it is to set the pad at a 45 degree angle relative to the body of the laser. But then this makes the tilt mechanism on the tripod not work correctly. The only other option is to shim the pad with washers (but then you don't get very many threads connected, or to cut off the two back corners of the pad so that they don't interfere. I'm unable to find any "compatibility" information to say if this simply wasn't meant to be used on my laser.
