Great for touch ups

This is an awesome tool but be careful abuse it. I use mine every now and again as I'll forget to take my skates in for sharpening. It is meant as a last minute temporary fix not as a replacement for skate sharpening. One pass will restore your edge (but weaken it) and I would recommend getting the skates sharpened afterwords. I gave it 5 stars in all areas because if used properly it does exactly what it's suppose to do, I have friends that have had theirs for years and it's still as good as when they bought it.

I bought this sharpener and I think it's amazing it works well enough to definitely limit the number of times I sharpen my skates. It gives you a great edge after just running it over your blades twice. I play a great deal of hockey and I give it a two thumbs up.
