This was a great solution!

This was a perfect solution. Every year we camp, as the years go by the older we get. For the past several years we've used air mattresses in our tent, but now my husband in his 70's and myself even though younger then him find that getting down is still manageable but it is the getting back up we are finding difficult, so this is the perfect solution and it comes in a convenient carry case making it easy to tote and with the directions it is easy to set up.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good enough

Easy to assemble. Not that comfortable though, and if you're a light sleeper you might wake up from the squeak that it makes when you move. I use a memory foam topper to make it a little better to sleep on.

Very Comfortable!!!

This bed is Very comfortable for camping, making it easier to stand up, compared to sleeping on the ground. Using it on our Honeymoon, touring the Rockies from Victoria, BC, to Banff, Jasper, etc. for 8 nights under the stars and 4 nights in various resorts. See the Tent I highly recommend, especially for Tall people, as it's got 6' 3" headroom inside! The Picture I included shows it set up in my driveway with garden chairs both outside and in, to give you a better idea of it's size. CT Listing shows it with the entrance awning pulled down. Mine has the awning tied up so you can see what's inside.

Yes, I recommend this product.

  • It says it holds 8 people, but for comfort it holds our bed on one side and room to keep our things on the other side.

Good product

Easy to blow up using supplied electric pump. Filled up fairly quickly. Does feel like sleeping on a air mattress that is raised off the floor though, so added another memory foam mattress on top for added comfort. Easy to store and take out for when company comes to visit.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: We have lost the pump for our bed. Can I purchase a replacement pump?

2 Answers
  • A: If you're taking it Camping, it's best to get a foot pump, like they use for inflatable boats. Those take a lot less time than a Hand pump and better than the electric pumps as they don't require batteries.

Q: I want to use a power convertor to plug my BYOB mattress into - to inflate it. What size of a convertor do I need to use?

  • A: Go to the Automotive Department and you will find converters that you stick into a car's cigarette lighter, and there are some that have a household plug on the end so you can plug the pump into your car. Check out the one I suggested below.

Q: why is the air not staying in all night?

2 Answers
  • A: Usually, it's not that the air isn't staying in, but that as the night goes on, the mattress walls tends to stretch like a balloon getting gently squeezed. The same amount of air is still in there, but when you get off the bed, there's more material than air, so it looks like it must have leaked.

Q: Require a PLUG I lost the plug, can I buy a new one ?

  • A: Get the Broadstone Air Step Air Pump, 11in. It's the least expensive one, and it's got all the different plugs attached to the hose.

Q: What is the difference between the Delux and Ultimate? I noticed the one includes bedding, this one does not... but is there a foam topper or anything with either?

2 Answers
  • A: The other one has a sleeve at the head of the bed that you slide the pillows through, so as you snuggle up to them, they stay there and won't get pushed off the top edge of the mattress. Same stand and Same mattress, but that one has more frills.

Q: Can this bed be used as an outdoor bed through the season?

2 Answers
  • A: Since the legs of the bed are set for a flat surface, if you try using it on a un-even surface, you could find yourself coming home with a bed that doesn't want to fold up because a few legs got bent.

Q: How do I make sure I don't over-inflate the bed?

2 Answers
  • A: If you hear a loud Bang, you inflated it too much! Sorry, just saying that cuz everyone needs a little humor in their life! As long as you can press on the mattress and your hand only goes down about 2 inches, that's fine! It gives some room for a balance when your whole body is on it!

Q: What are the two vinyl pieces (straps?) that are in the package for? Brought the bed home today. Absolutely no information in the box about anything. When does one stop pumping- how hard should the mattress be? Can it be over inflated?

2 Answers
  • A: While the pump will continue to run, it does stop inflating the mattress at a set PSI. The mattress should be good and firm, with almost no sag when u lay on it. (I am over 200 lbs and the matress does not sage when i lay on it. Also the pump should sound slightly different when it is done inflating. There are some instructions on the inside of the carry bag.
