Dayco's overrunning alternator decoupler pulleys have the handy capability of isolating and dampening alternator drive during deceleration. This means the pulleys can reduce belt slippage when accelerating or braking hard, lessening stress on the drive belt and other components while decreasing belt noise. All up, installing Dayco's OAD pulleys can increase alternator and belt lifespan as well as maintain more consistent belt tension. They're designed to directly replace OAD pulleys on specific vehicle models, so be sure to get the right one for your ride. Proper tools are essential for removing and installing OAD pulleys.
