    Great idea, shoddy quality

I had high hopes for these gloves. For years I've been searching for gloves that would withstand Canada Thistle -- the thorns go right through every glove I've tried, even heavy leather ones intended for barbed wire fencing. So I bought a pair of these gloves -- which wasn't easy because the packaging makes no mention of Kevlar and the colour is much blander than the pictures on the internet -- and went looking for thistle. And initially I was very impressed. I did a fair bit of weeding and didn't get poked once. But the kevlar is in the lining, and the outer part of the glove is very poorly constructed. Just a normal nitrile dipped work glove, and the least durable one I've ever owned at that. The outer covering cracked and tore after very little use. I'm sure these gloves would last a season if I used them exclusively for weeding thistle, but anyone wanting to replace their normal work gloves with an upgraded kevlar version will find the durability unacceptable. Making the kevlar liners available separately would be a much better option.

No, I do not recommend this product.
