Broke after 5 uses

The hinge stopped locking in the closed position after 4 uses. After 5 uses, the hinge is now beginning to fall apart completely. These tongs are only ~2 months old, were not abused, and always washed by hand. I think the issue is that the hinge is made of weak plastic. Will be taking these back to Canadian Tire with the hope of exchanging for a better product.
