Not Worth The Money

It did look nice in my kitchen but over time the plastic components broke. First, the plastic clip for the lid broke and now it slams shut, and then a few months later the plastic part that allows the foot pedal to open the lid also broke. I will definitely not be buying this one again!

Thought it was only us with broken lid

Started out loving this garbage can still do if the quiet close feature had not broken within months. It was quiet and easy for our family to use in our small kitchen. It is coming on sale again for 40% off so I considered buying it as I thought it was something we had done to cause the closing mechanism to fail.. Reading about so many with similar problems has us looking at other options. Might as well keep the one we have knowing the chances are very high the same problem will happen again.

Very nice looking can like the fact can store extra bags but mine broke as well now it slams shut and often locks cause of it is garbage save your money

Mine Broke Too

At first I would say I love this can, but the mechanism that closes the lid quietly and smoothly broke on mine as well. I thought it was my kids, but I see this is a common problem from other reviews.
Other then that one problem, I like this can, however now it slams open/shut...still works but not as intended. Pretty expensive for something that breaks in less then one year.
Sorry would have loved to given this a good review!

Doomed to fail!

Bought this garbage can a year ago and like others I should have checked the reviews online. the plastic piece that connects the foot pedal rod with the lid broke. When you take a closer look at the piece that broke it was obvious that it would fail early. I, unfortunately did not take a close enough look. Plastic parts can be made to last but this one wasn't. Advice....if you don't mind shelling out a lot of money on a garbage can that will fail after a year then this is the one for you (sarcasm). If they offered replacement parts different rating...but they don't on trash cans.

Q: Peut-on se procurer le mécanisme d'ouverture-fermeture quelque part? J'adore cette poubelle mais c'est vrai que le mécanisme d'ouverture ne dure pas longtemps. Le mien a duré un peu plus d'un an seulement.
