Ghost nets are responsible for harming marine life through entanglement and the disturbance of reef environments. As of 2021, through the manufacturing of the Oceaware Collection, approximately 17,000 kgs of fishing nets have been removed from the East China Sea. Oceanware is crafted from recycled resins captured from discarded fishing nets. Utilizes existing waste from the ocean, reduces the need for virgin plastic and prevents harmful plastic pollution from breaking down in the world's oceans. Oceanware is an eco-friendly kitchen tool line. The handles capture the essence of the seashore with deep blue and aqua tones.

Sturdy, and pretty

a year ago

After snapping the handle off a cheaper scooper, I was looking for one that was stronger, and this one fit the bill. It's nice and solid - doesn't bend when scooping heavy food out of a pot, so it feels like it won't be subject to snapping in half any time soon. Aside from its environmental pitch, it looks pretty, too.
