Didn't work well from the get go

Steer clear of this can opener. I am not sure how cuisinart can allow such a poor quality product carry their name!!

It leaves uncut sections, which I have to go over repeatedly. Blood and food splatters everywhere!

How hard is it to make a reliable can opener?

It is nearly impossible for my wife to use this thing. I usually keep one of the P38 Ration Pack can openers around to help her. I'd rather use a pocket knife. Looking at it, I may drill out the rivet and remove the t-handle, so she can use it as a diggy-thing to plant flowers. Frustrating and a waste of money. She didn't mention it before a year ran out and your receipts fade in a pencil case after a few months regardless. Note to shoppers, photocopy and staple your original receipts. It does help should you ever have to return something or have a 3, 4 or 5 year warranty on a tool.

Poor quality

I bought this expecting to have it last for a long time. By the time i opened my 5th can it was showing its poor quality of design. Everyone know what a poor can opener works like (or does not work like). Well this was a big disappointment. I bought it because of the name and warranty. Now after 1 year it literally fell apart this morning while opening a can. It's going back to Canadian tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.
