Q: How is this gun compared to the 22 caliber ?

2 Answers
  • A: The .22 version is available at 460 fps & generates more muzzle energy than the .177 version. I would recommend the .22 version as more suitable for small game Huntington because of this factor.

Q: is this a co2 gun or just an air gun?

2 Answers
  • A: This is NOT a spring powered air gun! It uses a piston to pump up air pressure, which is accumulated and stored in a chamber until fired. If it were a Spring powered air gun, it would only need to be cocked once. You can pump this air gun up to the recommended 10 pumps to achieve maximum firing power. The American version can produce 600 feet per second, but because of Canadian air gun laws which only allow for a maximum speed of 500 feet per second, the Canadian version has a bleed off valve, which will only allow for the 495 feet per second that it is advertised as having. You can possess air guns which exceed the 495 feet per second limit here in Canada, but ONLY if you possess a valid F.A.C. ( Firearms acquisition license ). I have both the .177 version and the .22 calibre version, and they are both very well made and durable pistols. The Crosman company has any, and all, of the parts available for order if and when a part malfunctions. ( I have had mine for many years without any mechanical failure to date ). Happy Plinking! :o)
