Too many hands

This clock has three black hands exactly the same length — minute, second and alarm set hand. It makes it really difficult to tell the time. I returned it.

A: Hi Tstev, Thank you so much for your interest in our Crosley Tilt Wood Table Clock. (MODEL #CR37022) I would be more than happy to assist you with your question. To set the alarm for this clock, please review the following instructions. 1# Turn the ALARM SETTING KNOB in the direction indicated until the desired wake up time is shown on the alarm hand on the dial of the clock. #2 Once the alarm time is set to the desired wake up time, slide the alarm ON-OFF switch into the ON position. The alarm is now activated. #3 Once the alarm sounds, it will be to wake you up. #4 To shut off the alarm, slide the Alarm ON-OFF switch to the OFF position. Tstev, that is all there is to setting up the alarm on this clock. Thank you again for your question and for contacting us here on the portal. Best regards!

Q: Where exactly is the so-called "backlight" located, i.e. the LED or bulb itself? Is there one LED/bulb, or more? Several comments say it isn't bright enough,

A: It is at the top of the clock face, inside the glass, so it shines down on on the clock. There is one bulb.
