avoid Crosley products at all costs

if you are getting back into record collecting, or are looking for a device to convert your record collection to digital files, avoid ANYthing with the Crosley name on it. this also applies to their portable record players. they WILL end up irreparably damaging your records as they use a poor quality, poorly set up stylus, AND the non-adjustable stylus weight is set FAR too heavy.
for the price of this unit, you could easily get a much nicer, better built, better sounding USB turntable from manufacturers such as Sony, Rega or Music Hall. they won't come in a snazzy woodgrain presentation that resembles your grandmother's spice cabinet, and yes you'd actually have to connect it to a computer to use it, but the results would be FAR superior to anything this vinyl destroyer could possibly generate.
the IDEA behind this product is nice, having everything in one compact unit, but this idea is horribly executed. and ultimately you'll only be disappointed with the results, and possibly infuriated when you discover what has happened to your records after playing them on this ill-conceived turntable.
No, I do not recommend this product.
